Even though the class of 2022 had a shortened high school experience, I still found a way to make the best of it.
I moved to the Kearsley district when I was in middle school. It wasn’t easy leaving friends but it was a better start for me.
I met a lot of new people and made a lot of friends. I felt like I actually found a place where I felt like I fit in.
Before moving to Kearsley, I didn’t do well in school and it didn’t matter that much to me.
But after moving to Kearsley, I had met someone who would show me the importance of doing your best no matter what. My best friend Lydia Boggs has been a major impact on my life.
Lydia has been my friend since I started school at Kearsley, and if it wasn’t for her I don’t believe I would be where I am now.
She has proven to me that doing your best, even when you don’t want to, is the most important thing. It not only makes you feel good, but it also sets you up for success.
Lydia is the smartest person I know and she has thought me so many new things.
My experience at Kearsley has been shaped by the people I choose to hang around, and those people I chose to hang around, were the best thing to happen to me.
I think the biggest impact that coming to Kearsley has made on me is not only the knowledge, but the people I have met.
I have created bonds with many different teachers that have helped me throughout high school.
In my sophomore year, Covid-19 made its debut. My year was cut in half and I didn’t get to see my friends which was very hard.
Then, it also affected my junior year as well which made it so I would miss many fun events that happen every year.
Coming back to normal this year was the best thing that could happen, especially for my senior year.
My overall experience at Kearsley was definitely one I’ll remember and cherish forever.
The people I met will forever have made a difference in my life, especially my best friend Lydia.
It’s been a ride to remember and I’ll never forget it.
