Manson, Klipa win Hornet Award
Monday, Oct. 5, Mrs. Caitlin Manson, Spanish teacher, and Mrs. Kristen Klipa, middle school social studies teacher, were awarded the Hornet Award for their outstanding leadership during the transition to online learning.
Superintendent Mr. Kevin Walworth is proud of Manson and Klipa’s accomplishments and readiness to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Both Caitlin Manson and Kristen Klipa have been such a valuable asset for our high school and middle school teachers as we transitioned this summer to more online learning,” Walworth said. “(They) have been leaders in their buildings for many years, but their willingness to step forward and lead their peers through the past eight months has been impressive to say the least.”
Manson is a certified Google level 1 and 2 educator and used those skills to help her co-workers.
“I was really excited to win the Hornet Award,” Manson said. “It was nice to be honored and acknowledged. I’ve enjoyed helping teachers with their technology issues.”
