Olivo, Shaw, Alexander represent juniors on homecoming court

Juniors Jacqueline Olivo, Jazmyn Shaw, and Mackenzie Alexander were chosen by their peers to represent the Class of 2021 on the 2019 homecoming court.

Jacqueline Olivo

Olivo is 16 years old. Her parents are Ms. Helen Anger and Mr. Jon Olivo.

Jacqueline’s biggest inspiration is her mom.

“I definitely look up to my mom,” Jacqueline said. “She is so incredibly strong and selfless. I am so blessed to have been raised by her.”

Jacqueline said her supporters made her homecoming court experience enjoyable.

“I’m full of gratitude,” Jacqueline said. “It has been a bit stressful but I am genuinely so grateful for this opportunity and for every vote I received.

“Everyone has been so helpful and so sweet to me throughout this whole experience and I could not be more thankful.”

Jazmyn Shaw

Shaw is 16 years old. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Michelle Shaw

Jazmyn looks up to her late cousin, Ms. Sarah Jackson.

“I look up to my cousin Sarah,” Jazmyn said. “The reason why I look up to her is because she was strong and independent. She taught me to be a good person.”

Mackenzie Alexander

Alexander is 16 years old. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Matt and Ashley Lobelle.

Mackenzie takes inspiration from her mom.

“I look up to my mom because she is one of the strongest people I know and inspires me to always do my best,” Mackenzie said.

Alexander dreamed of this moment since she was young.

“I feel very grateful because I get a chance to represent the class of 2021,” Alexander said. “I am very excited to finally be the princess I watched in the parade growing up.”
