Girls basketball defeats Trojans, Hawks

Over the past week, the girls basketball team won two games.

The girls are now 15-3 overall and 14-2 league.

Hamady

On Tuesday, Feb. 19, the girls won 51-40 against Hamady, at home.

Junior Jakiera Wash led the Hornets with 13 points, four assists, and seven steals.

Senior Mackenzie Ramey also chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.

Owosso

On Friday, Feb. 15, the Hornets defeated the Trojans 65-47, also at home.

Kearsley gained control of the game within the first quarter and held it through the entirety of the game.

The team was celebrating its seniors for senior night.

Ironically, seniors Ramey and Zaria Mitchner led the game, each with 16 points.

The Hornets will take on Holly on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at home.
