The girls basketball team closed out Linden 67-19 on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

After the first quarter of the game, the Hornets were up 15 points at 21-6.

Kearsley kept control of the ball throughout the entire game, which helped them claim the win.

Senior Zaria Mitchner led the game with 18 points and junior Jakeira Wash assisted with 10 points.

Coach Traci Piggot is excited about the team effort during the game.

“The Lady Hornets had a great team win,” Piggot said. “Overall, it was a great team effort.”

The Hornets are now 10-3 overall and 9-2 in the league.

Kearsley will play Swartz Creek on Friday, Feb. 8, at home.
