Girls basketball loses to Fenton

The girls basketball team lost 52-37 at Fenton on Friday, Feb. 4.
The Hornets were competing for first place in the league.
Kearsley is now in third place in the league, along with an 8-2 league record (9-3 overall).
Flushing is second at 9-2.
The team was led by senior Mackenzie Ramey.
Ramey scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Junior Sydney Walker also helped out with nine points.
Ramey believes the team will come back from this loss.
“Overall, we didn’t execute as well as we normally do,” Ramey said. “It was a learning lesson and we will be able to come back from it.”
The girls will be back on the court Tuesday, Feb. 5, at home against Linden.
Kearsley’s game against Holly, which was postponed last week, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 20.
