Tennis glides past Blackhawks

The tennis team defeated Brandon 5-3 on Tuesday, May 1.

This victory moves the team’s record to 5-3 overall, 2-3 in the Flint Metro League.

Earning their first conference win of the season were junior Claudia Moore at No. 2 singles, and the No. 3 doubles team of senior Mallory Teed and sophomore Kasey Palmer.

Moore is happy to get her second overall win of the season.

“I have been working hard and fighting in every match,” Moore said. “It feels good to win.”

Also contributing to the victory was junior Stephanie Lane at No. 1 singles, junior Chloe Clarambeau at No. 3 singles, and senior Brooke Mannor at No. 4 singles.

The Hornets will play again Thursday, May 3, against the Clio Mustangs.
