Reid leads the boys bowling team to victory

Senior Jake Reid rolled a 256 to help lead the boys bowling team over Brandon on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

The boys bowling team defeated Brandon 22-8 at Grand Blanc Lanes on Wednesday, Jan 17.

The Hornets came out in full action, victorious against the Blackhawks in the first Baker game, 227-173.

Kearsley defeated Brandon in the second Baker game 170-160, which gave the Hornets a 397-333 total win and a 10-0 lead.

The Hornets came out on fire against the Blackhawks during the team portion of the match.

Leading was senior Jake Reid, bowling a 265 game.

In addition to Reid was senior Chase Gebhardt throwing a 256, junior Kyle Langworthy with a 235, senior Seth Varner with a 231, and senior Justin Todd with a 178.

This series gave the Hornets a 1,165 game, the highest game shot in the Metro League this season.

The Hornets struggled the second Baker game, Reid once again led the way with a 191, giving him a 456 two-game total.

Kearsley is now 7-1 and remains in first place in the league.

The Hornets will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 20, for a double header against Owosso and Fenton at Cherry Hill Lanes in Clarkston.
