Hockey team blanked by Freeland

United hockey played at Freeland on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Freeland outplayed United from the start, putting up three goals in the first period.

The Falcons added another five goals in the second period to win 8-0.

Lake Fenton senior Drew Hobson led the team with 14 penalty minutes.

The team had 28 penalty minutes overall.

Goaltender Tyler Keller, a Kearsley junior, had a rough night in net with a .636 save percentage.

He made 14 saves in the game.

The game was not totally negative for United. The team shut down the Freeland offense in the third period.

United, a coopeative team from Kearsley, Brandon, Lake Fenton, and Holly is now 4-4.

The team will host Lapeer on Jan. 3, 2018.
