United hockey was shut out by Alliance 8-0 on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Sophomore Noah Bolton and senior Aidan Flick each collected four penalty minutes.

Flick, who scored 36 points last season, was not able to put up points in the loss.

Junior Tyler Keller posted a .619 save percentage.

Keller allowed all eight of Alliance’s goals, his worst night since last season’s 10-2 loss against the Airport/Flat Rock/Summit Academy Jets.

Junior Trevor Keller said the team was not prepared for the game.

“It was an effort issue,” Keller said. “We’re going to try to fix it.”

Junior Gerald Balcer said the team was not used to their lines and defensive pairings.

“We need to make line changes and need to work better in the defensive zone,” Balcer said. “We’re going to win our next game.”

United starts off the season 0-1-0.
