Senior Donald Martin led the boys cross country team at the Greater Flint Championship on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The boys cross country team placed sixth out of seven teams, scoring 168 points, at the Greater Flint Championship on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Cummings Center.

Fenton placed first in the boys large school division with 31 points, while Fenton won the girls large school division with 29 points.

The boys top runners were senior Donald Martin, 26th place in the division, and sophomore Justice Sutcliffe, who placed 29th.

Martin ran the 5K in 18:13 and Sutcliffe’s time was 18:42,

The girls team was unable to meet the minimum of five runners. Therefore, Kearsley could not score.

The top runner for the girls team was senior Brooklyn Dever, who placed 106th overall in a time of 24:01.
