Pokémon GO is losing its steam.

October marked a downward trend in the app’s popularity. The app sank to 118th on Google Play’s trending apps list by the end of the month after being this summer’s No. 1 app for several weeks.

Sophomore Shelby Cragg liked the app, but doesn’t think it’s as popular as it once was.

“I think it is good but overrated,” Cragg said.

Some students do not like the app, including freshman Elizabeth Taylor.

My friends and I bonded over Pokémon GO.”

“It’s pointless,” Taylor said. “I don’t understand why people use it.”

No matter what it’s ranking, Pokémon GO will be remembered as one of the biggest apps of 2016. The memories some have shared over the app will last a lifetime.

Freshman Skyelar Herriman enjoys playing Pokémon GO.

“My friends and I bonded over Pokémon GO,” Herriman said.
