The Wild Lights-Tower display at The Detroit Zoo celebrates the holiday season with colorful and festive lights.

Millions of twinkling lights will light up the Detroit Zoo in all sorts of bright colors.

More than five million LED lights will brighten up the Zoo and put it in a whole new perspective.

The third annual winter lights festival opens Nov. 28 and will remain open through Jan. 4. This event will go on from 5:30 to 9 p.m. located in Royal Oak.

The Detroit Zoo is advertising the experience by saying, “Come experience the magic!”

It will include two animated light shows, camel rides, Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, reindeer, and Santa Claus diving in the zoo’s Discovery Reef. Also adding to the festivities are things like live entertainment, arts and crafts, ice carving, and the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit.

Junior Liam Grathoff is planning a trip to see the lights over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Grathoff said,  “It is the perfect adventure to experience with your friends and family.”
