Prepare for the Black Friday battle

The one-day war continues and is just around the corner, so it is time to gear up!

Black Friday is nothing to joke about. From what the headlines say, people get trampled to death and seriously injured every year.

So what exactly keeps the people coming back?

Is it the thrill, the good deals, or some other really odd reason for wanting to camp outside of stores with negative 30 degree weather?

Black Friday will turn consumers into predators looking for blood and turn store employees into soldiers.

Black Friday is a time for shopaholics to binge.

If you want to get out alive, you need to know what you are in for.

First, bring backup.

No doubt, Black Friday gets rowdy.

Someone always wants the exact item that you have, even if it is on the shelf right in front of their face. And sometimes, they are twice the size of you.

That is when your backup comes in. Make sure your accomplice is intimidating, too.

Another thing you need is a list of must-have items.

The key is to get to the location you need and get your items quickly. It helps in the long run.

Last, but not least, gear up.

Wear mittens, coats, helmets, armor, and maybe even keep a sword! OK, I was kidding about the last few items, but try and stay layered.

It gets cold on Black Friday, and who wants to catch hypothermia while being the first in line for a free Xbox One? Not me, even though it might be worth it.

Black Friday gets crazy, but you will make it as long as you are prepared.

Good luck shoppers, and may the deals be with you.
