Junior Hannah Ploof poses with the state championship trophy after last year’s state final.

The girls’ bowling team is excited about the upcoming season after last year’s state title.

The Hornets were undefeated last year, winning the Division 2 state final.

Kayla Emmendorfer, senior, and Hannah Ploof, junior, return after they both finished in the top 10 at the individual state tournament.

“I had worked so hard to get there (individual state tournament) but I knew I still had a lot of work to do,” Ploof said. “I was beyond excited to be in the top 10, but I am striving for better this season.”

Emmendorfer has bowled all four years of her high school career and was a co-captain last season.

After leading the Hornets to last year’s state championship with a 233 in the final, Emmendorfer wants the team to repeat their success.

“I want my team to win another state title,” Emmendorfer said.
