The girls track and field team was swept in a double-dual meet at Brandon.

The Hornets lost to the Blackhawks 73-58 and to Swartz Creek 80-53 at the Wednesday, May 3, league meet.

Senior Ave’r McKay won first place in the three events. McKay won the 100-meter dash in 13.23 and the 400 in 1:02.52. McKay set a personal record in the 200, winning with a time of 26.90.

Freshmen Stacia Tipton, Nisha Hartley, and Asia Donald all took third in their events. Tipton finished the 200 with a time of 30.50, Hartley ran the 800 in 2:49.50, and Donald jumped 12 feet, 5.75 inches in the long jump.

Junior Madison Jordan took third place in the 400 with a time of 1:06.73.

Senior Savannah Jones finished third in both the 1600 and 3200 with a time of 6:19.28 and 13:57.33, respectively.

Seniors Alexia Schwartz and Kaitlyn Alburtus took part in the pole vault and tied for third, each vaulting a height of 7-00.

Sophomore Mackenzie Ramey took second place in shot put with distance of 33-02.25.

Kearsley is 3-3 overall, 2-3 in the league.

Kearsley will appear next Friday, May 5, at the Goodrich Invitational.
