The Hornets played host to the Brandon Blackhawks and won 63-60 on Friday, Jan. 13.

Jack Vollmar, junior, led the way for Kearsley with 15 points, helping the Hornets win their first league game of the year.

Other Hornets who scored well were junior Taveon Harris with another 12 points, along with senior Chandler Ford and junior Devyn Sredich, who both contributed nine points.

This boosted the team’s record, putting them at 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Flint Metro League play.

Kearsley travels to Clio on Friday, Jan. 20.
