The football team lost its last game of the season, 56-34, against Clio, Friday, Oct. 21.

Junior Tommy Plunkey scored first for the Hornets off of a 19-yard run.

Senior Brandon Byczynski then ran the ball in two yards for another touchdown near the end of the first quarter.

Plunkey scored the next three touchdowns for the Hornets, one on a 55-yard run and one on a 6-yard run in the second quarter.

Plunkey’s last touchdown was in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard run, and he finished the game leading in rushing with 188 yards on 23 carries.

Defensively, junior Bailey Douglas led the Hornets with 6.5 tackles.

The game, which was the last of the season, was a “pink out” to show support for breast cancer awareness.

Kearsley finished the season 1-6 in the league, 2-7 overall.
